About Me

Coming from the UK my formal photographic education was undertaken at Berkshire College of Art & Design in the early 1980’s, where I gained my Diploma from the Institute of Incorporated Photographers.

During my studies I learned about many great and wonderful photographers, one of whom was called Henri Cartier-Bresson. He observed that there is such a thing as a 'decisive moment', which is the visual instant that completely captures the mood or essence of a person or event. Whether it's a special occasion such as a wedding or a sporting event or just a regular daily occurrence - there are always distinctive visual moments which are able to communicate the entire feeling of the situation - "a picture says a thousand words"....

The idea of the 'decisive moment' is my inspiration and I continually strive to achieve images that 'say it all'!

I now live in Ballina, Australia and work in the Northern Rivers area including Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Alstonville. I also travel to the UK and continue work over there.
